Paul J. Blasewitz

Staff Sergeant Paul J. Blasewitz was from Bronx, New York. Blasewitz came from the 403rd Squadron with Wilson and Peterson in May 1943.

After the July 11, 1943 ditching of "Black Jack", he was awarded an Air Medal.

When the 43rd Bomb Group converted to B-24 Liberators he went with George Prezioso to the 54th Troop Carrier Wing and flew on Captain Lee Bird’s B-17E "Yankee Diddl'er" 41-2458 crew. He completed a total of 52 missions.

Paul Blasewitz died on September 1, 2005 in Clearwater, Florida.
